ACUPUNCTURE

Abstract Background

While acupuncture is amazing at treating any type of pain condition, in the hands of a well trained practitioner like Clearwater Acupuncture founder Mark Tamburrino, it has many broader applications.

Why use acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a time-tested, holistic medicine that can help to decrease pain and restore function.

It is also helpful for internal conditions like anxiety, GI problems, fertility, thyroid, allergies and much more. Science is only beginning to grasp the powerful medicine that is Acupuncture and understand the mechanisms behind it. An initial consultation with our Acupuncture Physician is required to find out if you are a candidate for Acupuncture. If you are determined to be a candidate, we can perform your first procedure the same day

The Process

The Acupuncture process is repeated 2-5 times a week until maximum improvement is seen. Then a maintenance regimen is often prescribed to prevent recurrence. Maintenance may be as little as 1-2 times per month.

Common Questions About Acupuncture

01: Am I A Candidate For Acupuncture ?

The medical literature shows acupuncture’s effect on nearly every biophysical system in the body. I’ve seen patients suffering from a wide variety of problems respond to acupuncture treatment when nothing else has worked.

So, for most people, yes, acupuncture is something you should explore.

02: How Many Acupuncture Treatments Will I Need?

The number of treatments needed differs from person to person. For complex or long-standing conditions, one or two treatments a week for several months may be recommended. For acute problems, usually fewer visits are required, and for health maintenance, we recommend monthly tune ups.

03: Does Acupuncture Hurt?

No. It’s very comfortable. Most people end up taking a nap during their treatment and leave feeling refreshed and relaxed.
